JVC has updated its entire Reference Series and Procision lines of projectors with 50% higher brightness, HDR capabilities, and lower prices.
I totally agree with you. They will be just like last year's projectors: great image quality, terrible input lag.
I'm a huge gamer and I tried playing on my friend's X55 and the signal delay was horrific. Therefore, JVC will not be a consideration for me or any other serious gamer.
I believe they are the same and simply marketed differently.Reference series and Precision series...what's the difference?!
Like saying a Ferrari 480 is fast but has terrible rear leg room (like zero). The JVC's are designed and sold as home theater projectors. If you want a projector for gaming then buy a gaming projector. They will be just like last year's projectors: great image quality, terrible input lag.

Does not compute. They always could make some sort of zero lag option to the projector which bypasses all the signal processors. They have chose not to do this.Like saying a Ferrari 480 is fast but has terrible rear leg room (like zero). The JVC's are designed and sold as home theater projectors. Basically. Enough talking about JVC not being good for gaming because obviously they are not focus on gamers. They care only about people who value quality in their home theaters.Like saying a Ferrari 480 is fast but has terrible rear leg room (like zero). If it was that simple and cost them nothing, surely they would have done it.Does not compute. They always could make some sort of zero lag option to the projector which bypasses all the signal processors. They have chose not to do this.
Sorry, but I like to game in my HT, it's the only place I do game, I should be able to get a "Home Theater" projector that I can game on, like my "Home Theater" Planar 8150.Like saying a Ferrari 480 is fast but has terrible rear leg room (like zero). Just to satisfy my curiosity, have you seen one of those? From the specs they don't have the "JVC contrast" you'd expect (If you want a JVC for gaming buy one of the laser based models from the pro side. Almost no lag at all (requirement of the simulation market), plus you can turn it on and off to your hearts desire.

Ah come on, so Sony hw55/600 es these are gaming projectors? They (jvc) just dont care about gamers.Like saying a Ferrari 480 is fast but has terrible rear leg room (like zero). Well, to be fair- Sony has more reason to care about gamers than does JVC.Ah come on, so Sony hw55/600 es these are gaming projectors? They (jvc) just dont care about gamers.
