I recently bought a compression tool to install some RG6. It's great! Much more satisfying than the crimping I used to do (and used to get wrong about half the time, it seemed...) Up until now, I've been using dual shield coax RG6 with the compression tool...

Now I'm going to use some quad shield cable, and I wonder whether I can use the same fittings that I used for the dual shield coax.

Does quad shield coax require a different fitting, or can I use the same ones that have worked for me on the dual shield?

Thanks in advance-

I'm no expert by any means, but when I have shopped for quad shield compression fittings, they have always had a different product number from from regular RG6 and RG6 dual shield fittings. You might "burn" one of your current fittings trying them on quad shield, but my quess is you will need to purchase the correct fitting.
