Grass is growing now. Less time for fun.
I had the host channel mapped into my cablecard line up but when they added disney jr the host channel disappeared. I did email SECV to fix it for the third time but they never replied back.
It will be one month next week that I sent the diagnostics into Rovi and I haven't seen any movement in fixing the data.
Also I am mapping the channels to their RF channel assignments and I noticed that all the encrypted channels only have a signal digit sub channel number. This means that SECV is on purposely using 4 digit sub channels for their in the clear qam channels to render both the tribune media services guide and rovi guides useless. Also some tvs can not tune in 4 digit sub channels so it forces you to get their box.
They might as well encypt their entire line up instead of using a dirty trick like this. The two other Service Electrics don't do this. Even comcast doesn't do this.
I was thinking of getting two tivos but I found out that Tribune, who owns the guide in tivos and windows media center, is in bankrupcy and may be liquidated. If this happens I guess that will be the end of these guides. More boat anchors and door stops to add to the collection.
I am seriously thinking of ending tv permanetly as I really don't watch anything any way. Satellite tv isn't any better or less agravating than cable tv has become. I will just watch blu ray movies.
Oh yea I have bad news for your mom, Disney is eliminating the SOAP channel. It is being replaced with Disney Jr.
