The 39 month repack clock doesn't start until the report is published. Then stations going off have 3 months to do so.
A note of clarification here. Stations that are not channel sharing have three months to go off the air--once they are paid. Stations that are channel sharing get six months once they are paid, and can seek extensions if there are delays beyond their control. So until the wireless companies pay for what they bought and it gets turned around to the stations by the FCC, the clocks don't start.

The 39 month repack clock doesn't start until the report is published. Then stations going off have 3 months to do so. Stations moving have 3 months to apply for a construction permit for their new facilities. I doubt the wireless companies would be happy with delays in the schedule caused by stations who don't want to reveal they're shutting down. Whether the report is published this week, next week or next month the result is the same.
Some wireless companies may not be in a big hurry to come up with the money, since they may not be ready to use what they purchased. The point is, the FCC is not likely being universally rushed to release the report.

To avoid duplication, at least for the moment, I'm closing this thread.

If there's something of note that needs to be here and not in the new thread, PM me and I'll reopen it.
