I have a Lenovo T500 running Windows 7 and am trying to use a VGA cable to connect it to my Sony Bravia KDL-46VL150 HDTV. For whatever reason, the TV has "PC" greyed out as an input option. I've tried switching on the projector mode on the laptop (Fn - F7 key combo), as well as on the Desktop (right click, choose "Screen Resolution", and then choose "Connect to projector").

None of these make the "PC" option active under the TV's input choices. I've tested the PC at work, connecting it to an HDTV using a VGA cable, and it works. What am I doing wrong with the Sony TV? Thanks.

Hello and welcome to the forum, you'd be better off asking this in the LCD Flat Panel section under display devices, this area is for HD reception hardware.

This particular thread states some details on using the PC input as stated on page 17 of the manual.

My only guess is you need to be using one of the resolutions in question to get the PC input to work...

Please don't PM me with technical questions that should be posted in the forum.

I know this thread is in the wrong section, but I am deciding between the 2 products below. I am hooking up my computer to my HDTV that has a RBG input

It can output 1080x1920 at 60hz

I have not been able to find anything on the entire forum

This one handles everything I need- but only 3 reviews-
Monoprice 2-Way SVGA VGA Splitter Amplifier Multiplier 400 MHz with Audio

Monoprice 2-Way SVGA VGA Splitter Amplifier Multiplier 400 MHz - Black
then getting a 3.5mm audio splitter

Here is the link to the splitter:

Xbox name- D0NGINAT0R (those are zero's in my name)
