The future is 12 frames per second. Our TVs can interpolate it up to 24 frames per second to get the film effect.

Think of the bandwidth we'll save!

I don't think so smile.gif, but they'll increase the complexity of the prediction / motion compensation (ie. interpolation) and probably the number of predicted frames in the encoded video (eg. with H265) to save bandwidth.
