I see the cables I need are red and white for audio and I don't see a yellow for video I only see two blue cables, one of them is a tealish blue the other one is a dark blue. Since there is no yellow for video which do I plug in then? Also which ones do I hook into the DVD player in the back of it?

Component video cables are typically Red, Green, and Blue for video, and the usual red/white pair for audio. Five wires. They connect to the appropriately colored/labeled jacks on the back of the DVD player. This is all explained in the DVD player's manual and the TV's manual.

Alternatively, if they both have HDMI ports, you can connect with a SINGLE HDMI cable...no other cables required.
HDMI interface carries BOTH digital video and digital audio, so separate Red/White audio cables are NOT required.

BTW: The YELLOW composite video interface is LOW-REZ. Only HDMI and Component Video (RGB) are Hi-Rez.
