Trying to do an informal poll...I keep hearing networks are moving away from 4x3 safe requirements. Possibly A&E and TBS? Anyone know for sure? Or of others? And this assumes SD feeds are all letterbox? Any help is appreciated. Thx

A&E and History do letterbox (black bars on top and bottom of screen)
TruTV seems to just be a HD simulcast of the SD channel as the picture is identical...logos in same spots but its 4x3 in SD

These 3 channels other than sports channels I mainly watch

1 post? Welcome to AVSforum Peregrine!

Thought #AOY: So as a kid I tested the causality chain of something. When my cat was angry, she put her ears back. When that happened, I decided to push them forward, and then she purred. (!) Turns out that it's not that being angry causes the cat to push its ears back, but being angry and pushing their ears back are two parts of the same exact thing. She could not be angry with her ears forward.

TNN is not 4x3 safe. Same goes for Fox News.
