Guys, I've got a Denon AVR-1913 and I CANNOT get the dish receiver to work through the Denon.

It works plugged straight into my tv but NOT plugged into the Denon. I've tried all the different inputs (HDMI) and still nothing.
Even got a replacement receiver and it still won't do it.

I HAVE gotten it to work a couple of times but only to lose the signal again when I turn the Denon
back on.

Of course, if I call Dish they'll blame it on the Denon and I won't get anything resolved.
They already screwed me out of the receiver I was supposed to have (Dish that is).

I have tried different cables and even a cable that was sent to me by the people that sold me
the Denon and still nothing.

Thought I'd arm myself with some options before calling Dish.

By the way, I have the 612 DVR from Dish.

Thanks

George

turn the Denon on 1st; sometimes I have to wiggle the HDMI cables on both ends to make sure the connection is good

Will I find La Scala, or better, to displace my La Scala fronts, before I displace my kg1, kg2 & kg3 with Heresy or better?

Done it!

Surely I don't have to turn it on and wiggle every damn time?

Kind would defeat the purpose of having everything hooked up to one AV receiver...

Thanks

George

NO, don't think you will. I've a couple of kittens who like to pull my cables loose by accident. biggrin.gif

NOpe. Have a buddy that has one but I doubt I'll be able to talk him into taking my stuff over to his house or the other way around.

Already tried getting him to bring his receiver here..

My Dish receiver works fine with my Yamaha using the HDMI no issues.
If you replace it and it still happens I would contact Denon.

I DID talk to the guy that sold me the Denon and he sells other brands too
and he didn't much believe that the Denon's were more finicky than other brands but what the hell do I know.
All I know is I'm having problems with things that SHOULD work but then, this IS the story of my life.
I buy all these cool things and half the time, I can't get them to work frown.gif

Now, he said to try to get another receiver to try and see if it works or not
before I send it back for a refund. He says it's not a problem with the refund
but wanted me to make sure 'cause as he said it, this is a nice receiver (and, on a personal note,
it DOES have the specs/options I want..) it would be a shame to return it IF the DVR is the problem.

This sucks frown.gif

George,
I wanted to touch bases with you to see if the issue is still happening with the Denon AVR-1913 and DISH HD DVR receiver. If you’re still having any issues please PM me for further assistance.
Thanks

Mike, it seems that my issue is now resolved but I'm using a Yamaha receiver. Not sure if any other changes made a difference because my memory is so poor and I've been through so much different stuff but for now, it works.

I'll get with you if I have any questions/comments.

Thanks

George
