Pigeons figured out the owl pretty quickly.
Best is to use a bunch of black cable ties, with the pointed ends sticking up and out.
Use plenty, or the birds will just nest within the spikes.

^^^^^ that's funny tongue.gif As far as the birds on antenna's go, I gave up a long time ago. Doves love our antenna, and there's nothing we could do about it frown.gif

We have an owl at our boat dock, some types of birds won't get with-in 200 feet of it, other types of birds ignore it completely. Maybe clear fishing line from your mast to the tips of the antenna elements might work.

We have red-tailed hawks nesting in these huge eucalyptus trees across the street from us who are always cruising our neighborhood and close-by fields, and they've never bothered the doves. We also have an occasional white owl that cruises over and the doves (and sometimes pigeons) pay no attention to them. Either they're too stupid or the food source around here is better than dove/pigeon fodder. My antenna is 30' above ground level so when they're roosting, everybody and everything can see them. Very discouraging.

On my way home from work today I noticed a couple big fat birds sitting on top of a business sign way up in the air. As I got closer I realized they were fake cats sitting up there. They didn't want their sign coated in white bird paint.

I wonder if a fake cat might work?

I think what I need is a fake cat with hawk wings, and a snake climbing out of its mouth. smile.gifeek.gif
