I have a Yamaha RV-V673 AV reciever and the x1 comcast receiver. I used all of the methods to enter a code on my XR2 V2 remote. I get volume +/- and mute to work, but will not turn on or off with the remote. Kind of an issue when powering off the tv, the yamaha doesnt power off. Does anyone have an idea on what to do? Thanks in advance!

Get a Harmony remote.

Contact Yamaha user support and ask them if they have a solution, such as sending their R/C back to be reprogrammed....

Get a Universal PROGRAMMABLE R/C, such as ALL-IN-ONE, which supports all (most?) of your components. You could contact them or their website to make sure it supports your COMCAST box, but even if only they know is that it supports SOME COMCAST boxes, you can always go though the manual key LEARNING process....but, since the number of buttons is limited, it won't do EVERYTHING, like the Menu Driven Harmony I-N Downloadable R/C Devices can do.

Or simply continue to use Comcast R/C to cycle Cable Box Power....
