here's what I've got - my Onkyo TX-NR818 has a 2nd HDMI output I want to use on the TV in my kitchen. Previously it was hooked up right to the Directv box via coax cable which is still there. Is there any kind of adapter that would take the HDMI output of the Onkyo and convert it to the coax that is ran to my kitchen and either stay cox or turn back into HDMI to put the signal on that TV?

If the Onkyo has a composite video output, you can use that over coax. But.... it will be video only and limited to 480i resolution. No audio either.

EDIT:
You may consider wireless:

You could use the composite video out, and one of the audio outs and go into an RF modulator. Then hook the RF modulator up to the coax run that goes to the kitchen.

This will only be standard def, and the coax line to the kitchen has to be direct, it can't go through any splitters or be hooked into the DirecTV wiring anymore.
