Question Quality of Coby vs. Westinghouse Tuners?

I bought a Coby TV in 2008, and it's really awful. I live on Long Island, within 18 miles of the Manhattan transmitters, but it's still impossible to pick up any signal. (not getting into its other deficiencies) I was wondering: is the Westinghouse EWM24F1Y1 TV tuner any better? I was wondering because I saw that TV on sale.

For my TV, though, I plugged in a Craig converter box and my antenna and it picked up all the channels just fine. Does anybody here know about the relative quality/sensitivity of these tuners?

Edit:

Here's my tvfool:

WNYE
WFUT
WNET
WPIX

Both Coby, Westinghouse and even Craig are really low cost models but as a general rule the newer the tuner generation the better. '08 was quite early for ATSC so I'd think basically any newer brand would be better but I have no specifics.

I'd expect both brands to use 'bottom of the barrel" quality tuners for their day.
