The DTC-210 is a Samsung TS-160 generation receiver because of it's 1 year deployment delay.
Features & Functions if as shown at CES. It does not have a gray scale side panel mode, comes with a UHF remote, guide modes identical to the TS-160 (Text based, 5 channel, w/PIP), no games, CID name & number receiving a call, but CID list displays number only unless you press info, limited 3 aspect ratio, resolution can be selected from the remote, outputs SD & HD simultaneously.
Can select either RGB, component, or DVI outputs via a switch on the back of the receiver. In 16:9 aspect mode on a 4:3 TV connected S-Vid, composite, or RF, picture is distorted and the Guide is practically unreadable, but the TS160 has this problem too. In 4:3 aspect mode, everything looks fine. Assumes your primary TV is 16:9 & have slaved 4:3 TV's. Otherwise, a none issue.
Before CES the DTC-210 was rumored to deploy with Icon based guide like the DST-3100, perhaps a D* experiment to see how subs on forums like this would react. It did spark controversy on OEM who, since RCA mostly labels.
