Hello..

Hoping to get some advice.

Have BH cable coming into house in front room w/ HDTV cable box. I need to hook up my cable modem as well. Concerned that splitting the signal on the single cable coax will degrade the HD signal. Is this true?
Is there some suggested way of doing this to ensure I do not degrade my signal? Amplification device? ?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!!

I have two splitters between my cable service and my HDTV cable box and have no siganl problems at all. Yes each splitter does cause a degradation of the signal so you can always put an amplfier in before any splitters.
My cable company made sure every thing worked perfectly when the installed my digital STB almost 3 years ago and they replaced one of my splitters with a higher qualty one.

Splitting the signal once between a cable modem and cable box should not degrade the signal to the point of making any difference.
