Hey guys I could not find a thread that was specific to what I am looking for, If I am not searching in the right place, then please just link me to another thread.

We live in a condo and just recently pulled the trigger on Finally switching from TWC to DirecTV!! We talked to our condo board president and found out that we can not place the dish on any of the condo structure. Some other residents have fences facing south where the mounted the dish. Our fence is facing north so that would not really work. I saw one other resident with his dish mounted on a pole. I have signed up for the free installation on Sep 24th. Do I need to go out and purchase the equipment to make this happen or will the tech be able to install the dish without mounting to the condo?

Sorry for asking stupid questions, I've just always had cable, never had to install a dish.

They should be able to pole mount it for you though they may charge for the mount. I'd suggest you call the installing company in advance to discuss your options so that they know to bring the proper mount out.

Matt
Please don't PM me with technical questions that should be posted in the forum.
