WTB: Mitsubishi HC7900DW or similar

WANT TO BUY:

Mitsubishi HC7900DW (or similar with 33%+ offset/shift) to supplement my JVC RS4910 for gaming and casual use. Due to some physical placement constraints (not WAF) I need the larger offset. Please PM if you have a unit for sale.

Other projectors I would consider include but not limited to Mitsubishi HC7800D, HC8000BL, HC4000, HC3800, Viewsonic Pro8200, Panasonic AE7000, AE8000.

I am also looking for a very inexpensive projector to compliment my jvc 4910. I bought a mitsubishi 7900 when they were $700 a few months ago, it is a great projector. I gave it to my son for his new home. I have been looking for that same deal ever since with no luck.

Agree -- I wish I had been looking for this a few months ago when these were on closeout. I'll let you know when/if I find a good option/sale.

A few manufacturer refurbished HC7800D units just showed up on eBay for $799 -- tempting. Any reason not to go for it instead of the HC7900DW?

Thanks -- knew I should have waited a bit -- I pulled the trigger on eBay for the 7800 just a little while ago :/

I'll call HTmarket and see if they have them in stock, if so will see if I can cancel the eBay purchase with the seller.

Edit: HTmarket ran out of stock a few weeks ago with no expectation of new stock. I guess the HC7800 it is.

Edit 2: The eBay unit was hardly "factory sealed manufacturer refurbished" and so back it went. As it turns out HTmarket was able to find a refurb 7900; still putting it through its paces as the focus uniformity and/or chromatic aberration may be less than I was expecting, but it may just be that it's sitting on a box and not mounted and properly aligned to the screen yet.
