That cured mine, same symptoms, 5V and 2.0Amps or more amps. My original PS was 5V@3.0A, but the specs only call for 5.0V@2.0A ... I found an old 5.0V@2.0A and it's been working fine ever since(that was a month or so ago.

Pareidolia.

In A/V reproduction accuracy, there is no concept of "accounting for taste". We don't "pick" the level of bass, etc., any more than we pick the ending of a play. High fidelity means an unmodified, neutral, exact copy (or "reproduction") of the original artist's tonal balance, timing, dynamics, etc..

Well, it seems to be working where it did not before , so there must be something to it.

I have the Hauppauge and have been successful in recording video from my Dish VIP722.  I also have a roku player, a DMPBDT330 HD dvd player and AppleTV, which have only HDMI out.  I'm considering purchasing a KanexPro HDMI to Component Converter so that I can record video through the Hauppauge.  Will HDCP encryption prevent me from doing this?  If so, is there anything that can go HDMI -> component or composite?

I've heard theres a HDMI splitter that will solve your problem. videohelp.com might be a good place to research too.

RCTVCAP & Builder

From the dark ages of rctvcap and rcgraphbuilder. My HTPC bit the dust in a major way a month ago. Its resurrection seemed a difficult task so I opted for the DVR option from DirecTV. While impressed with its capabilities I need to get the HTPC back up and running. I use rctvcap to record off two DTV boxes. To get rctvcap to run in the past I used rcgraphbuilder.

Now when I run rcgraphbuilder I get the dreaded "can't find filter: File Dump". Having grown a bit older since the early 2000 I can't remember how to get around this problem.

Somebody out there remember????

Please and thank you.

You sent a file labeled Dump. If I recall correctly RCGraphBuilder looks for a file "File Dump". I've got one but it is zero length, empty. ?????
