Things always turn out to be a bigger deal than I expected them to be (murphys law)........I am wanting to stream live tv from my Main pc running vista ultimate to one of my htpc's in my bedroom!!! No big deal right? Thats what I thought at least!!! I have no problems streaming live tv to my living room using my 360 but I cant seem to figure out how to enable my HTPC also running vista ultimate to operate as a extender rather than a whole seperate MCE installation.

Anyone able to shed some light on this? Would be greatly appreciated..

I know about orb & TVersity, Im takin my hi-def set top box outta my bedroom & hooking it up to my main pc with a hi-def tuner as soon as I figure this out but Im looking for the best video quality possible, so any additional suggestions greatly appreciated as well

Regards

Sean.

Can't be done. MS doesn't provide a software MCE client.

You realize no Media Center-compatible tuner can record HD from a set top box.

SageTV with a Hauppauge HD PVR will do everything you want (except use the Xbox as an extender).

See what an anamorphoscopic lens can do,

The HD PVR is the only device that will record HD from a set top box.
