I have been using DVD FAB during the free 30 day trial and have really liked the product. Unfortunately my trial is done and I'm trying to finish my ripping. Is there anything else out there that is has a free trial and will do the same rip? meaning I'm getting VOB files from the Platinum version and taking the DVD from approx 7GB down to 3-4GB. I'm okay with using HD decrypter but I really don't want to keep loading with 6-7 GB files.

If you like the results, buy it. The developer goes out of their way to create a product and keep it updated but yet still you won't pay the minimul price to use the product.

It truelly baffles me.

It shouldn't baffle you. These are tough economic times and I just don't have the money to spend right now. I'm totally for paying for a quality product and in the future I will certainly buy DVD FAB, I was simply hoping to find something of similar quality to keep me from having to stop moving my collection over to the hard drive. But thanks for attempting to make me feel bad about wanting to save some money.

http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm to get the full size files then

http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/ to reduce the size.

All freeware!

Oh sure, I've been abducted. Heck, we've all been abducted.
The trick is to keep them from reading your thoughts.
Wear a hat and try to remain thoughtless at all times.
