Hello, I've got the following setup:
-MSI-DIVA with 5.1 amplifier installed (there is a D2Audio DAE3 Pure digital Amplifier IC on the mainboard);
-Windows Vista Ultimate
-AMD Athlon X64 6000+
-JBL CS680 5.1 speaker system incl. subwoofer;

I dowloaded the newest D2Audio drivers from the MSI website and it all seemded to work. In ControlPanel>Sound>D2Audio device I test alle 6 speakers and it works including testsignal for subwoofer. So this is a good start right?
But when I play music or movies (and I tried a lot of them) the sattelites are working but the subwoofer simply doesn't do anything. I've connected the LFE input of the sub with a RCA-cable to the sub output of the DIVA mainboard (I assume this audiochipset contains dolby/DTS processing).
I've also tried to connect the sub signal to the L or R input of the sub (to overrule the DSP) but this also doesn't work.
I only have the standard audio tool in Vista ultimate.
Anyone had the same issue? Or knows the answer?

Turn on bass management in the vista audio settings and all should work for you.

Same thing happened to me.
If you configure your front and surround speakers as large, Vista will not pass lfe sounds to the subwoofer while playing music. It will work with movies. Change your speaker setup to small speakers for both front and surround and you will have lfe sounds thru your subwooferr on music playback again.

Hope this helps.
