i need to capture audio from vhs for later editing on my pc. if i record it to dvd with LPCMaudio instead of dolby digital, will i be able to edit it later with a program like sound forge?

I'd try it out with Audacity first and see if it works. Freeware, and quite powerful for audio manipulation.
