I've been considering one, but not having a list of currently available MBs is a stumbling block. Most MB mfgrs don't give detailed dimensions so getting a MB that fits is a bit of a crap shoot.
I only list the board I have personally tested so far as compatible.
You could check http://www.hd-plex.com/compatibility.html
Rule of thumb is that if nothing is blocking the heatpipe path, most mini-ITX and microATX should work with the heatsink sytem.
The H5.SODD will support 1xSSD,1x3.5HDD, and slim 12.7mm slot loading optical drive. It could also support 3xSSD(no 3.5HDD).
The H5.ODD won't be released since it would have to sacrifice internal PSU placement, SSD position, expansion card for a 5.25" ODD.
I also agree w/ your responses to the SPCR quibbles on the H10. The review was great, as expected from SPCR, but I felt each would take away from my own personal appeal on the H10.
As evident by my review of the H10, I'm a big fan of the minimalist front-plate and the symmetry in the heat-sink fins. I also like having the PSU secured within the chassis to reduce cable clutter. To each their own though.
Any word on the H5.SODD? I don't see it on the website, but this is exactly the configuration I need. It looks like there is room for one card there, and I'm going to need the Ceton InfiniTV 4 to fit... It will fit right? THANKS!
Just a quick shout out to Larry at HD-Plex. Without going into the details (though there was never a real 'problem') Larry is a rare business person these days as he has provided a level of customer service to me that can only come when you truly care about the people buying and using the product.
