I've spent the day searching the web to no avail. I recently converted my BR ISO collection to .MKV using Another eac3to GUI. Looking now, I see there is an option to convert audio to lossless flac but I'm not sure what happens if that's turned off. In any case, it was checked for all the conversions.

I'd like to make one of these files into a .VOB for playback on a PS3. I have a friend with a PS3 for BR playback, as well as a home network of PCs that could stream his collection also. He's got enough disk to hold probably half his BR's so I figured I'd try to convert one of mine as an example. He's not real computer savvy, so if I say 'go google this', it's not going to happen.

So far, I've used mkv2vob, but under "Status" it says "Unsupported Audio Codec" FLAC" . It will make a VOB file, but it fails to convert the audio.

I've tried tsMuxer to make a .m2ts, but that says there's "Unsupported Formats" and won't even begin to run.

I used GOTsent but it coughs up an error as soon as you point to the MKV source file. Then exits the program.

Using yr_eac3to_more_gui.exe and selecting Downsample Audio in the tsmuxer tab creates another file with no audio in it.

I've found several references to no audio in the VOB/M2TS files but no fixes for it. Most just say they click the button and it works. Well, of course it doesn't here. I assume it's because the original makemkv run with eac3to and makemkv through the GUI converted the DTS/DD to FLAC and everything is having trouble with the FLAC. I don't know why though, given that's an open format.

Any help appreciated. TIA.

Your best bet is to stream your files to your ps3 with PS3 m├ędia server
that way the audio is converted to lpcm on the Fly

the ps3 doesn't do flac i think

Interesting I'd never seen that here or anywhere else. Thanks for the tip. I'll try that.

You need to convert the flac to multi channel wave 64 and them mux everything back into a m2ts container with tsmuxer.

Use eac3to to do the flac to wav conversion.

or transcode on the fly as Nosferax suggested.
