Hi,

Sony Bravia supports h264 and MPEG-2 playbacks. ps3mediaserver can live encoding with mencoder and tsmuxer.

But since live encoding is cumbersome and cannot be done for HD content due to CPU power limitations, how one can pre-encode files for Bravia so that it plays without encoding? Has anyone succeeded on this?

I know that files must be

- padded to standard HD dimensions (1280x720 or 1920x1080)

- the container must be MPEG-TS (is mencoder output good or another muxing utility required?)

..but what other settings must be used?
