I am looking at the Artigo2000 plus an HDhomerun. With the trend in disks only getting larger capacity, two 3.5" drive bays will allow me to add capacity by buying new drives.
I'm going to use the old drives with my thermaltake via USB backups, etc.

I will use this as a DLNA server and to record from HDhomerun.

It's quiet, low power, and the OS runs from a flash card. Has anyone else tried this combo?

I got the unit and it's much smaller than I thought. Smaller then a loaf of bread. Installing the RAM, CF card and HD drive was easy. Now I don't use windows so I had to figure out how to flash the BIOS to the latest version. I downloaded a dos image and inlcuded the BIOS flash program and BIOS image. Now I am going to look for a good and lightweight linux distro. I haven't recvd the HDhomerun yet.

So far so good with this box. I've seen people spend much more on just a case than what I've spent
in total for a nice NAS, DLNA, pvr. Ok I still need to buy an HDhomerun, so add $99, but still think
it's a great value.

I chose this one because I could also run other things here if I need to, like Squid, DNS, etc.

I haven't gotten to it yet but I need to look into getting itunes music/videos on here too.

Total so far:
a2000 $180
CF card $25
1TB Hitachi $70
2GB mem $45

$320

Maybe this will help someone else looking for a cheap and good solution that's very low power and very quiet. And cheap!

I only bought one drive for now but will get a second one soon, the prices keep dropping so no hurry.
