How are the 2 connected? For example, is the 52" LCD connected to your PC as a monitor or is it DLNA-enabled via your network?

It's very possible, but we'll need to know a little bit more about the TV, computer, and types of media you wish to view on the big screen.

1) What model is your TV?
2) does your computer have an unused HDMI and/or VGA output?
3) does your TV have a unused HDMI and/or VGA port?
4) Or, as byronomo suggested, do you wish to connect them via network cable instead?
5) What format(s) are the movies in on the computer?
