Alright folks, I just bought a new

- Intel i5-760
- HIS ATI 5670 - 1gb of ddr5 ram

AND, I bought an ASUS P7H57D-V EVO LGA 1156 Intel H57 Motherboard

So, I bought it not really understanding the differences between the H57 and the P55 - come to find out, the H57 has onboard video. I'm not going to need that because of the new video card.

Did I buy the wrong motherboard? I bought it open box on Newegg for $115 - original MSRP is $200 - should I return it for a P55?

The integrated graphics for the Core i3/5/7 processors has the graphics integrated into the same package as the CPU, but it also needs an "H" series chipset & motherboard to get the HDMI or DVI output ports. However, the Core i5-760 does NOT have processor integrated graphics. You can run it in a H57 motherboard, but you must use a separate graphics card. For your setup with an ATI 5670, that is fine.

If I'm not mistaken, the H/P57 chipsets include RAID capability as well (vs the H/P55 chipsets).

That MB will be fine for you.
