I ran into an issue with SnapRAID - and it may be a show stopper for me. I needed to rebuild a hard drive, but Elucidate (the gui for it) does not have a gui for rebuilding - and everything else is done via command line. I hate command line for such things, I do enough command line at work...at home I want simple and easy. frown.gif

Luckily I was able to recover all but one movie without using the recovery system, and that one I will just re-rip since that is quick and easy.

EDIT: Elucidate has been abandoned by the creator, apparently, so it will never gain the ability to do the recovery for us. I am now looking into disParity.

Well that's weird because he released an update on the 20/12/2012 which is just days after you mention that he abandoned it? That, and he hasn't made any mention of it that I can see on the site.

Maybe he read my post and restarted? Dunno - but there had been no movement for months on end. I have already shifted to using Disparity.
