Well, we are understandable too. Maybe the problem are only with certain m2ts files (some in the same movie work fine for me, but main m2ts dont work fine). Maybe the problem its hardware specific or a side bug.

I will tried make a custom PDVD11 build (pre 2024 build + 2408 files), mixed codes and so on, maybe i have some luck

Edit: Error seem to be on 000.flc driver, loaded in system boot "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\PowerDVD11\\Common\\NavFilter"

This Driver its used among other things for BD protect system and regional codes. For some reasons dont work with BD on HDD, and PowerDVD block access to the movie.

Its a Cyberlink Issue completely, my rig its fully BD compliance, and my movie is original (I have the BD in my room).

Other example about security measures only serve for tease pple and dont stop the real piracy.

are you trying to play a bluray? if so, hardware acceleration will reactivate itself...

Does power dvd 11 ultra come with Advance Audio Pack or we need to separately download and install? If we need to, where do we get this for powerdvd 11?

Now, I managed to play 3D Blu-Rays and SBS files with PDVD11.

Sorry for the false information i gave before; it was my fault.

I had posted a thread on this, but just throwing it in here since it's semi PDVD related. I'm on PDVDU9 right now, not sure if 11 is worth it for what I'm trying to do. Ultimately, I want to make sure the LFE track is getting sent properly (+15db) to the subwoofer.

OK, so I currently am using a CEntrance DACmini via USB for basic PC stuff and coaxial for stereo listening.

I run the analog out into a HK3490 stereo receiver. The receiver has dual subwoofer outs, however, they are just HPF - so there are no small/large settings to play with. I am planning on purchasing a Rythmik FV15HP subwoofer in the near future.

I use powerDVD 9 Ultra for watching blu-rays and I really need some help in thinking thru the best way to configure my PC audio to get a full 2.1 movie experience via the DACmini. I can go either USB or COAX, however, I need to make sure that which ever route I go, I will get the full LFE track from PDVD9. The speakers have their own crossover, so I am not concerned about sending LFE signal to them.

So option 1 - USB - windows 7 has the ability for me to configure the speakers as small and then use bass boost enchancement for boosting the 15db to the LFE, I will not have this feature if I set the speakers to large in win7 or use coaxial out.

Option 2 - coax - the DACmini can't decode dolby, etc - just PCM, so I would need PDVD to output PCM, but not sure if it would still send the .1 track in PCM..

can anyone help shed some light on this topic? Thanks!

There were some problems with recent fox titles, like Star Wars, prior to a couple of updates ago. Since V 9 is no longer supported, I'm sure it was not updated. It may be of an age it can not reliably play recent disks.

These people at Cyberlink have ZERO knowledge about their own product
I just got an email from support after a few weeks saying to turn off hardware acceleration
that makes NO Difference whatsoever; the Blu-Ray will still not play
also, I installed PDVD 12; It also does NOT play blu-ray
this is the fault of Cyberlink
I have tried Arcsoft and WinDVD and both play blu-ray with no problems
It took them weeks to give me the response about hardware acceleration
absolutely unacceptable
in my case, everything was playing fine until I installed PDVD 11 and that screwed everything up;

The support from Cyberlink is terrible. I really hope someone can come up with a functional player. And someone who listens to the customers. I'm willing to pay.

Been trying PDVD 12 the last couple of days and so far it's played everything I've thrown at it. 3D Blu-ray looked flawless at 24 MHz. I was using TMT5 but on my system 3D Blu-ray plays at 30MHz and looks awful with weird stuttering. Tried everything to fix the problem to no avail.

Looks like I may switch to PDVD after my 30 day trial is over.

Power DVD 11 has been working great for me, now suddenly I am getting the error "the integrity of powerdvd is at risk" anytime I try to play a blu ray or a blu ray ISO. The only thing I did was upgrade my shark codecs on the past 3 weeks or so and I dont think I have used Power DVD since. I cant see anything in the settings which would break powerDVD like this. It happens when I try to launch and play in and out of media center..

Any ideas?

I just patched to 11.0.2608.53 will be testing it soon...

mosher, best I can guess is PowerDVD noticed a shark in the tank with it and is calling out the risk. Just a warning or any trouble? I'd ignore if only a warning.

This (PowerDVD 11) is going to be the 10:00am PST Shell Shocker for $43.

Does it play BD-iso, mkv or m2ts from files stored on your computer?
Does it playback HD-Audio?
Is it worth $43?

EDIT: I also note that some on here are discussing PowerDVD 12 yet this is a PowerDVD 11 thread so I clarified which version in my post.

Power DVD Ultra 11 (latest patch) not able to play regular Blu ray movies (iso).
I mean it does play but screen goes blank for a brief second or two then video coming back and it keeps doing so repeatedly.
This has happened with the last two NV whql drivers, 260.10 presently.
BTW, with 3d BR it plays just fine, go figure.

I love PowerDVD and use it all the time. However, the prompt to update is annoying and I can't seem to disable it. I have the "Connect to" option deselected but it still rears it's ugly head.

I'm running BitDefender so is there a way to locate the update function and block it with my firewall?

Thanks!

Under settings and player you uncheck the "Automatically connect to the Internet for product information" box.

Thanks for the reply. This is actually the first thing I did when I installed the app. I did switch over to cinema mode to check some things, then switched back to regular mode. It was during that instance that the notice popped up.

I'm not sure if it was a glitch. I was just hoping there was possibly a way to remove the update elements all together, block it via firewall or edit it in the registry somehow.

I recently applied the updates and since then have not been able to save the settings. I wanted the video always on top option to be selected and it is not allowing e to save. Is there any configuration file where I could make the change and save, or if some one knows any work around please. Also, when I chose SPDIF option, it does not give me any option to make the output as DTS, any idea if I could?

Odd on the not saving. I don't think PowerDVD can convert to DTS and output to SPDIF, but I haven't tried it. I do PCM output to SPDIF.

While technically true that Cinavia is not a virus, It is being added to PowerDVD: http://www.cyberlink.com/prog/support/cs/product-faq-content.do?id=14922&prodId=1&prodVerId=947. This may actually prove to be its downfall as the way it detects is easier to reverse engineer in a piece of PC software than in the firmware of a BD player. One can only hope. tongue.gif

Cinavia is a signal contained within an audio stream and will not be added to any player. Cinavia detection is required to be added to all licensed Bluray players (hardware or software) manufactured after Feb 2012.

Anyone who believes Cinavia is a virus should welcome this feature being added to PDVD. That way it can detect and block the virus for you.

Rather pointless as AnyDVD HD renders it useless anyway (last time I checked anyway).

No, it doesn't. AnyDVD HD triggers it by removing AACS. No AACS + Cinavia signal in audio = Cinavia message. But it only happens on licensed player that have the Cinavia detection code. Non-licensed players (MPC-HC, VLC, etc) are not affected and never will be.

OK, you are right, it is better defined as a cancer.

And we know it was added to Version 12, anybody run into it in version 11 yet?
