It works well on my 7" Android tablet too. I just installed it last night.

Will remote potato allow for live tv to be played on mobile devices? I use Plex for recorded tv, but would love to figure out how to connect to live tv.

Thanks in advance.

There's also MCE Remote which has a nice UI and WiFiRemote which is very powerful but I think the UI is a bit complex.

That's not to be confused with WiFi-Remote (note the hyphen) which is close to MCE Remote in usability

I've been tinkering with Unified Remote, too. Nice application. Easy to use and simple to operate (Read: high WAF). I just got wake on LAN working using Unified Remote on both my HTPC's. I am now controlling both machines smoothly with one (old, first generation) android tablet.

At the risk of hijacking the thread, One question:

Can the wake on LAN feature of Unified Remote be used in conjunction with the pulse eight CEC adapter? ie.. one tap on the "wake on LAN" button powers on both HTPC and TV? That'd pretty much be remote control heaven for me.

Thanks for posting!

#2 wifiremote looks good because it has something the others always forget-mouse control. Have you used it before, how does it work? I really need the Android version, have you found one with Green Button for WMC, that also has Mouse Control and for Android?

#3 wifi-remote seems to be missing the WMC Green button.
