Except if you want to download subtitles on the fly like me but it's not biggy because every movie i put in my library i put it with the subtitles.
Tell me your problem to try to find a solution.
Interesting. Is there a guide for how to use a remote for either Kodi and or MPC-HC that you know of off hand?

Been there, done that.

Start here. And supplement with this.

I read that guide. I never made it down that far however lol. I'm guessing that is your guide?

If so I was gonna ask, I installed the latest madVR and the latest MPC-HC along with the xysubfilters and I can't get subtitles to show up. I made mkv's and included the the subtitles, went walked thru your guild and nothing. I'm not sure if this is a windows 10 issue or the updated softwares of these programs no longer work per your guide? I even tried uninstalling the xysubfilters and just used the internal built in one on MPC-HC and they still don't work.

What are you using these days if you don't mind me asking?

Still using Kodi DSPlayer until it dies. After that, I'm not sure.

These are your options: madVR Player Support Thread.

I am strongly considering going that route myself. I just really love the look and feel of Kodi without having to use an external player like MPC-HC.

BTW, I did figure out why subtitles weren't loading. In your guide you had both boxes checked under the "Blu-ray Subtitles (PSG). Once I unchecked those and rebooted mpc-hc, subtitles started displaying with my blu-ray MKV playback.

I haven't been keeping up with this stuff. Someone else should probably make a new updated thread.

Actually not a whole lot has changed. I've been using your set up for a while now with some minor tweaks found on Doom9. It works and that's all that matters. A nice update for 3D mkv/MVC is needed though. Anybody got a link?

You could try this link. The information about 3D is likely complete with the help of huhn, with the exception of a point or two. I am awaiting for clarification from madshi on a couple of points.

But it at least gives you a starting point for set-up: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?...555#pid1843555.

I would consider moving all of the content I've collected on madVR to AVS Forum in a new thread, but not until DSPlayer dies, as this content is already formatted for the Kodi forums. I've tried my best to update it regularly with clear explanations of each feature.

This way, more people would see it and greater feedback would be available, and all media players could benefit. But I don't think I'll do that until official Kodi support for madVR ends. This will be known when v17 is released sometime this year.

I am not always comfortable trying to be an expert, either. But I am willing to Google topics and read as necessary.

I'm not using Kodi because I still use WMC for CableCARD Live TV playback and use the Emby WMC plug in for WMC. Emby loads MPC-HC for all but 3D iso which i want to move to 3D MVC/mkv in the near future.. I will take a look at your link above and see how to apply it to MPC-HC..

So something's wrong. I just installed madVR 90.4 but it doesn't seem to be loading. I even re-booted it.. IT shows ver 90.4 on the first page but then ver 87.x on the settings pages..

There's no 3D controls at all.

you have incorrectly unzipped the new madVR version.

most likely the settings where still running and so they couldn't be replaced.

just over write the files again.

I just got an older prepro with HDMI 1.1. How do I change MPC-HC from bistream to 5.1 PCM (for True-HD, DTS-HD Master, etc)?

Open MPC, right click and go to "Options" > Internal Filters > Audio Decoder
check off what you see in the screen shot and restart MPC.
