you are correct, sir. well kind of. it was just announced today, but for no streaming live tv, just a "selection" of their on demand stuff.

Yep, that's what I figured would happen - for Comcast it's access to XfinityTV just like you get on a PC. Having an Xbox as an STB would put a big hit into their STB rental income. But they do mention that live TV (AnyPlay) might be coming down the road.

Stupid effing business. I can't stand that crap, just getting in the way of innovation and integration for a few more bucks.

Reminds me of the memo that was on the Amazon homepage the other day. It went something like this:

"Dear consumer, there are two types of businesses out there. The first is the kind that works hard to charge you as much as possible, and the second is the opposite. We are firmly in the second camp. Love, Amazon"

xBox360 as an extender is going to be a great replacement for the STB on Comcast and Verizon this fall. The xBox360 will bring on demand services for these providers and with a centralized HTPC + Prime you will get virtually all the services plus more. This setup is very similar in concept to U-verse.

Anyone know where I assign tuners? In wmc or in the settings of the prime? I want to assign 2 in the living room and one in the bedroom.

Also is wmc 4 tuners total? Or can I have 3 atsc tuners along with the prime?
