Hi,

I've searched, but can't find a solution (though I suspect it's here somewhere). I have an Intel p8400 (dual core, 2.26 ghz) with a Radeon 3650 (512 mb) and 4gb of ram and I'm running Vista 64 bit. My CPU runs at about 2% at idle. Running Silverlight (4 or 5) streaming SD, I'm not dropping frames, though the CPU is in the 80s. In HD, however, I"m getting about 1 fps (1 rendered/20 dropped) and the CPU runs at close to 100%.

Is there any reason I should be having problems streaming HD given my hardware?

Thanks for any help.

First thing I would do is turn off power saving, i.e. use the High Performance profile.

Wow! Never even thought to change the power settings. That was it. I'm now running at about 50% and not dropping frames at all in full screen HD.

Thank you so much!
