Hi,

Just got my SST GD04. Inside the case I find this:

What is that? It is made of rubber and the side facing up contains some sticky stuff. Might look like it could contain a harddrive in size. But nothing in the manual so it seems..?

That piece connects to a HD at the end with the connections. It is for the HD that is located over the power supply on the HD bracket.

Take a look at pages 3, 14, and especially page 15 of the manual. You can see it attached to the HD bracket.

Alright, it must be the rubber which should help with airflow. It should have been attached to the drive bays:

See picture about 2/2 down. I guess the best would be to glue it back on the bay?!

Yes, now I'm sure too, thanks. I can see it in the PDF you linked to. But I can't see it clear in the manual . But according to the manual it is only there for airflow. It is not touching the harddrive as such...strange construct?

When I installed my HD in my case, the end of the HD (with the ports) pretty much fit in that rubber thing. Not sure why yours doesn't. I have a GD05B case.
