does it auto correct names.. sort into proper albumbs and collect coverart ?
I don't really understand your questions. Do you mean does it move your files around and create trees with dozens of subfolders? Then no, it leaves everything where it is. To sort by album, just click the 'Album' column (likewise you can sort your whole library by any other parameter). Does it collect album art? Yes, although I usually don't bother. You can set it to automatically display the album but I don't like programs using the internet without asking so if I want the art, I go get it. Auto Correct? Again, I'm not sure but it will autotag a song by listening to it and making a pretty good guess as to who it is and what the title is. Just click the 'Auto Tag' button in the file info dialog. That's also where you can manually get the album art. It may not be for everyone, but it works great for me. I have most of my music in just a couple of folders (1 for MP3, 1 for WMA and a handful of others holding live recordings) and I can export any playlist full of music with (or without) leading index numbers to keep them in the playlist order (important for MP3 CDs for the car). I used the free version for a while, I wasn't impressed enough to buy it. I prefer to search for HQ album art on my own. Tuneup would just give you the first 10 search results regardless of quality. I never tried using it to rename my songs because I have them named the way I like them already.
I use TuneUp myself I purchase version, it's doesn't deliver much of what it promises, I'm still missing tons of album covers even though I've run it several times. It just runs in the back grown now, and I pay little attention to it. blah..
