A few more pics...

Yes, that's a 512GB SSD and here you can see the two 4TB drives listed as 8TB (this was setup per the customer's specific request)

What did you do jusdt span a few drives together to get that 7 tbs? Or did you set up some sort of drive pooling?

Spanned per customer request. Despite the over the top parts this is a htpc and not a pc first and foremost.

Speaking of SATA cables I've been using these on recent builds.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812119378

I know they are all the same transfer rate. But I use them to tidy up the case and they are much easier to work with.

Of course. It's not how I would use that 8tb but it's also not my personal htpc.

He had some very specific requests. A spanned drive was one of them.

Good call on those. The ones that came with my mobo was bent up the wrong way which made it completely useless for my build. I had to dig up some cables I had leftover from an old build but it didn't look nearly as clean.

I guess the case is an OrigenAE S21T.If so that's a nice case with a not so nice $1,200 price tag.

If that case uses iMon for the screen software then they would have to pay me $1,200 to use it. Say hello to HDMI handshake issues.

Bazinga!

WOW- NICE !!

Looking pretty slick.

512GB SSD's are indeed lightning quick.

if your accustomed to using a plain crappy 64MB cheapo that are common under $100 bucks nowadays... You should notice a difference for sure. A top Tier 512SSD is a different animal for sure.

Bigger the SSD the faster they are.

I like. I like. I like.

Excess wins.

64MB isn't going to get you too far either, that's like two or three raw photos from my camera.
