Can anybody confirm if the new GTX 680 will bitstream DTS Master HD and Dolby True HD?
Thanks.

The cards just went up for sale an hour ago - no one actually has one yet.

They are originally based on the GT114 chip, which had HD Audio capabilities, so its more then likely those do too.

According to Hardware Canucks it does support bitstreaming.

In addition NVIDIA has built in 4K resolution support along with (finally!) full compatibility with bitstreaming of HD audio signals.

I have not seen it mentioned in any other review, however, or on nVidia's site. Do they usually include bitstreaming capabilities in the specs on their site?

I think that refers to being able to drive 4k displays via display port. Not sure whether it has the new VP.

it probably does.

the 480, 470, 465, 570, and 580, and 560ti 448 core were all just weird exceptions to the rule that all modern cards support it.

They are all variations of first generation fermi.

There is no GT114 chip. Perhaps you mean GF114 (GTX 560), which is based on Fermi architecture, while GK104 (GTX 680) is based on Kepler architecture, a new GPU architecture (based on Fermi Gen2 in a sense).

- T = Tesla (8 and 9 Series)
- F = Fermi (200, 400, 500 Series)
- K = Kepler (600 Series)
