Has anyone tried this out yet?

Says it will play BluRay folders like TMT does

Will it work in WMC with Media Browser? I am going to have to give it a try tonight and see what it can do.

Interesting note at the bottom:

NOTE: DVDFab Media Player is powered by XBMC

Hmm, interesting, although it just looks like XBMC Eden with the HD audio patch and the addition or real time decryption for discs. Will check this out.

It actually looks very basic. You just navigate to your file, folder, or disc manually. I couldn't even get it to play a dvd folder. There's something on the webpage about showing metadata, which I can't find, so maybe I'm missing something? If this is all it does, then I don't quite see the point. What would be awesome is if DVDfab just created a plugin to playback encrypted blu-rays in XBMC.

I never got to trying it last night, got side tracked. If Media Browser can't launch it, then it is no good to me anyways.

So did they basically just ripoff XBMC's code and are now charging for it?

Everyone seems to steal XBMC and charge for it.

Well technically they're just charging for the decrypting part. The rest of the software can be used indefinitely for free. They are still profiting indirectly from the open source community, so I can see what that bothers people.

Yeah, I get it. I wouldn't be opposed to XBMC charging some money for XBMC and closing access to their open source code.
