I just returned a unopened hdmi adapter and bought apple tv mainly to stream or mirror youtube from my ipad 3rd gen wirelessly.

On the ipad youtube vids load very fast and if i mirror it with airstream it loads just as fast.* But as soon as you make it go full screen the ipad youtube stops and it then uses the apple tv youtube program.* The apple tv loads youtube vids very slow like on my oppo 93 blu ray player.*

Why wont it full screen the youtube vid but still use my ipads youtube program and not the SLOW apple tv program?
*
This defeats the purpose i got this unless apple tv loads vids as fast as the ipad, im sure if i use the wired adapter instead of the apple tv it would just expand my youtube video with no slowdown at all.

It's a Mac, enough said.

A product that has "TV" in its name and can't do TV?

6 TV's in the house on FiOS and we only pay $4.99/month to connect them all!!! Power to the CableCard and WMC7!!!

LOL...

In the apple world, a TV doesn't necessarily have to have a screen...

I happen to have (a jail broken) one in my guest room and I must confess it works quite well...

I still do not like the fact that they are calling it an "Apple TV"... people who may not know much about technology might expect ATV to act as a STB to pass live through live TV...

I remember my mother told me the story of how she went to Best Buy to look for a new Tivo STB as I told her about the Premiere boxes that had just came out at the time. The Best Buy bastard ended up selling her an Apple TV instead and told her it would "do the same stuff as Tivo". She called me over to "fix her new Apple Tivo" when she couldn't figure out how to see live TV.

It`s not a Mac , since it tehnically doesn`t run OSX , but iOS, and runs an ARM CPU, not an Intel CPU, but anyway, back to the issue. How is it connected , wireless or wired, to your network ?
