My Windows Media Center guide has stopped updating. I don't have any listings past 4/17 (5 days).

There's a bug report for this on Microsoft Connect. I encourage you to register on MS Connect, and vote up this issue. Here's the link to the bug report (you will not be able to see it until you register and login first):

I had to register for Microsoft Connect by logging in with my Windows Live ID and then providing them additional information (Name & contact info). I encourage others to do the same. The more the merrier.

Note that there are two links you can click on that page. One is a big green arrow on the left site to "vote" for the issue's importance. The other is a link on the right that says "I can too", which indicates that you can reproduce the problem also.

I had wanted to schedule a recording for next Wed evening, however the listings ended Wed afternoon. Checked and saw that the guide data ended on Wed afternoon. After manually running a guide update I now have data until the 24th.

The world's apparently going to end around 7 PM CDT on Monday, April 30, 2012, because that's when my WMC channel guide now runs out of data.

And to think I switched from my 11-year-old Panasonic Showstopper (ReplayTV service) to WMC based partly on the impending shutdown of the ReplayTV service last summer...

What time today? I did about six or seven attempts at a manual update last night, even rolled back to an earlier image (pre-April security updates), without success; this morning before I left for work, I tried again (about 6:30 AM Central) without success. Of course, I'll try a manual update when I get home. If Mama can't record her shows on Monday night, Mama ain't gonna be happy, and if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Good to hear. Hopefully this time the fix is permanent, and you can get back to QA testing the Q's and Echos, instead of having to serve as the mediator between us angry WMC-using hordes and Microsoft over these channel guide issues...

And as a side note...your presence on the Net advocating for Ceton owners with both Microsoft and the many cable companies has really impressed me. I don't currently own a Ceton product, but as soon as I can justify it to the wife, I'm upgrading!

I've had the Hauppauge WinTV-DCR-2650 since its release, but I have found that two tuners isn't enough any more...

That was my experience also - until I rebooted my PC. After the restart, the guide is now populated out to 7:00 p.m. on 5/6.

Just check my computer several hours later and have guide data thru 5/7.

My Media Center Update icon in the task bar still indicates that the last update had errors and will retry tonight. I hope this gets fixed. It's working for now but all these update errors.... It just shouldn't be like this.
