We've just started getting past the drive shortages due to the earlier tsunami. We're at an everyday price of $119 for WD 2tb greens, it's gonna take more time for the $99 days of old.

$92 for a 2TB delivered.

1. Go here. Add to cart.

2. Go here. Buy a $25 off coupon for $1.59. It will be delivered instantly.

3. Apply the coupon at checkout.

4. Total should be 109.99 - $25 = $84.99 + $1.59 for coupon = $86.58 + Sales Tax (6% for me) = $91.77 delivered

Yeah . I have bought 2tb for less than 99$ recently. That's my line. Under $99 I consider good price for 2tb

I really want a 3tb for 129 but having trouble finding it

Newegg sells the Seagate 3TB for $159 all the time new.

I am looking for sub $150. $160ish is normal prices.

Just like $110-$120 is normal for 2TB.

I am looking for sub $100.

For me good deals are:

SUB 100 for 2TB
SUB 150 for 3TB

Just my opinion, but I would bever buy a MOBO, CPU, Disk or GPU off Ebay. Not when I can get a fairly good return policy from Amazon or Newegg with (usually free shipping on the initial buy) and for roughly the same price.

While I've had good luck with other items, and Ebay went to bat for me on an item the seller "deleted" right after getting paid, there's just some things I prefer the other on line stores for. In investing they call this "Tolerance to risk".

So how do those ejunkie staples deals work? Did some seller crack the staples coupon algorithm and is able to sell them illegally?

Here's a 2TB for $85 plus tax and coupon. http://slickdeals.net/f/4259216-Seag...AwAAAAAFO0D9kA

I bought one a couple months ago and discovered it was a 7,200 rpm drive once I popped open the case.

I agree. I buy all my stuff new unless tremendous value makes me tolerate risk.

I only sell old stuff. It's best place to get top dollar in old pc hardware if your upgrading.

He's referring to buying the $25 off coupon, not the drive itself.

If there is a sub $100 deal on a 2TB then it would be posted on a deal site such as slickdeals.net.

Nice one thanks! I think the $109 for a Seagate 2TB internal drive is the cheapest I've seen lately.

I was at costco two days ago and they had seagate 3tb (usb 3.0) external drives for $139. I remember saying to myself that it was the best deal i had seen on one in a while. Don't need one right now though so I passed. Hopefully they prices are trending a little downward.

Yup this is what I am looking for.

Thanks for heads up

I do miss the old days of $60-$70 2tb HDD. Now with 1tb platter HDD, unless you must have the extra space now, I'd wait for the 4tb HDD with 1tb platters. Fewer platters = fewer moving parts = less heat = less power util.

With the downtrend of HDD prices continuing, I suspect it may be worthwhile if you can wait.

Due to some weird website glitch I ordered one of the Staples 3TB hard drives the other day, it said they had them in stock. I received an email from one of their customer service representatives that said they didn't have the one I ordered or any other 3TB hard drives in stock so she canceled my order. Do you want me to reply and ask when they will be getting more in stock?
