- SecondRunTV 2.0
- Windows Media Center Internet TV
- Macro Tube
- Hulu Desktop with intergration tool
- XBMC with intergration tool
SecondRunTV and MacroTube gave me access to ESPN3 and You Tube inside Media Center. However ESPN3 doesn't default to full screen when SR opens the web site.
Overall I find it lacking, I may keep it since I paid for 2.0. I had been looking for a better solution for ESPN3, see below...
MacroTube I have already documented that its no longer being developed and You Tube doesn't work right, again see below....
XBMC I downloaded the tried to see if I could solve these issues and save for some minor issues it has!
The You Tube Add-on is superior to MacroTube as it gives you access to your account, subscriptions and creates thumbnails - Brilliant! This makes it easy to find new videos added to the channels I watch most.
The ESPN3 Add-on had been balking with a script error. But all of a sudden when I needed it too work, it did! I watched the American Le Mans Series race at Laguna Seca, all six hours of it without any major issues. With about 40 mins to go, the stream itself had problems, but the plug-in performed great.
The issue I have with Hulu Desktop is that series don't play completely in order. What typically happens is that it will play episodes 1-10, but then skips to 12 or 14 or something (during auto play). It happen when watching back to back episodes of Speed Racer, Rockford Files, Knight Rider and lately Star Blazers.
Overall, everything works, no errors. I just requested a Speed2 add-on since DirecTV now supports Speed TV's Speed2 Online Channel.
I also might look at a MotorsportTV add-on since one was created for Roku.
Lastly, I may retry Rom Collector Browser but I found you can add Hyperspin to XBMC -
