I see so many threads about what remote I should use with my HTPC so thought I would write a quick note about what I have found that works well for me. I have setup a TivoSlide remote to work with my HTPC and it is working great. Yes it is missing the mouse control, but as long as I stay within MCE it works great. It has all the functions I need and even includes a keyboard. I have even read that you could setup a makeshift mouse if you really wanted to. In regards to setting up the remote I give credit to this article. How to Article It shows how to use a program called LM remote keymap to map the Tivoslide keys to the right functions. I have setup the Tivo key at the top to go straight to the recorded programs and use green thumbs up for the green key and red thumbs down for the back button. If you have questions feel free to ask and if you have anything to add I would like to hear it.

Can it power up multiple items? Like a TV and Audio Receiver?

Thanks!

I looked into LM Remote when I was first starting up with my HTPC. I eventually went with EventGhost instead. I seem to recall that EventGhost was far more flexible and easier to set up, but I honestly can't remember why.
