I am going to build a HTPC to view Bluray 3D movies.

I have no plans on gaming etc just watching movies on it.

What would you recommend? Got links to it?

If you're looking for a book sized one, then:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16856107106

or similar with dedicated GPU ( but more expensive)

http://www.itxdepot.com/xcart/product.php?productid=2460&cat=44060&page=1

CPU: ( note 35W only!)

Add laptop memory, HDD, super slim BR drive, if needed
here is an example:

If your plan is to only watch blu-ray movies then buy a blu-ray player.

If you mean something else like ripping your blu-ray movies to a HDD and playing them back then a streamer is all you need.

If you want to add DVR functionality to the mix an HTPC is for you.

I started to consider a bluray player but as I also need the HTPC feature (TV, downloaded content etc) I will get a complete HTPC for the bluray 3D aswell.

A i3 is enough to use for Bluray 3D playback?

More than enough. Even 35W version of it.
