Hi all,

Just got my Monster 3D glasses yesterday and am completely discouraged.
I'll try to keep it short:
started to work with this whole above system to watch some 3D yesterday with the wife.
started all my process at around 4PM...at 10PM I still could not get 3D to work. I tried everything from pressing every button that exists to swearing every word that exists.
Everything I tried failed!

UNTIL
I connected the HDMI directly to the Video card (ATI 5770). This way 3D worked. (The problem is I have no sound now)
My questions is what am I doing wrong.
I tried:
through amp (HK AVR7550HD) passthrough or not - doesn't work. (Yes it's 1.4)
tried via DVI out PC to HDMI in projector - Doesn't work
Direct to HDMI- Worked (BUT the I get no sound from the DVI out VC to HDMI in Amp!)

Could the HDMI cable going from the PC to Amp be the problem?
Should I just buy another video card and connect the HDMI from that card to get sound?
Should I go buy another HDMI cable and try that?

Anyone have a simple solution to my problem?

Many thanks in advance...

Wow no help at all... anyway...I hope I help someone with this.

I Spent all day trying to get this to work. I bought a GT560 card and couldn't get that to work too.
Brought it back and bought a 5450 card and added it to my pc as a 2nd VC alongside my 5770 VC.

The 5770 is connected directly to my projector HDMI to HDMI
The 5450 is connected to my Amp HDMI to HDMI

All is working now.

Regards,

Did you happen to check the playback devices and make sure the correct HDMI audio output was selected? It certainly appears that would be the cause of no audio.

I had no sound because my projector was connected directly to the videocard BYPASSING the amp.
While connected to the AMP first, I could NOT get 3D to work.

What I hate about my solution is that I will never see the onscreen display of my AMP/Receiver now.
My receiver is 1.4 and I don't understand why 3D does not work!

Thanks for your help.

The simplest solution is separate connections with a DVI-HDMI adapter/cable, with an Nvidia discrete card (dual audio stream) or Intel iGP.

If you want to go through the amp with one single HDMI connection try an EDID override. This is not so "simple solution" at first, but read through the instructions in my sig. I can help you with the required mod but need the real-time EDID of the proj (don't have the JVC-RS45 in my DB, but other models like the JVC-RS50, which may certainly work for you, but better get the exact EDID of your proj. just in case ...).

EDID Overrides (capture, install/uninstall, troubleshooting)

Thanks Tulli,

I will read your instructions for an EDID override...I want to try that.

Thanks again
