I'm on vacation and using a laptop. I have a portable hard drive with several MKV files I'd like to watch. I downloaded Media Player Classic (MPC) to test it out, since I'd like to modify my home system to use MPC and MadVR. When I try to play an MKV with MPC (no MadVR on this computer, which doesn't have the power for it), MPC stutters so much the program is not watchable. If I use VLC on the other hand, I can watch the program with no problems. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Thank you.

Bob

Use VLC if it works. You're on vacation. Enjoy that and don't worry about it until you get back.
