I didn't see this mentioned anywhere. I don't use the MC internet channels often, but yesterday I happened to go to them and received a popup notice that the channels will no longer be available after Sept 20th.

There was a thread about this over on the new htpc forum on anandtech moderated by assasin. Generally, most feel its not a big loss as you would just go to, etc. to watch them. Someone was making a big deal that netflix would go away as he was using the link in there to launch netflix but there are other ways (such as link in movies) to launch netflix.

Sure, it's no great loss, but it is just MS removing one more MC feature as they wind things down. Just keep chipping away at it until it's a hollow shell, until MS can finally be done with it. I'm pretty sure that's the thinking.

i completely reinstalled Windows last week - you need this to be installed to make the ESPN3 add in work properly with full screen video. now because its being phased out they won't let me install Internet TV. i hope somebody figures out a work around.
