The only thing I found that works cleaning Artic Silver is 190 grain alcohol (Everclear) which
is better used in Lemonaid.

Xylene is a better cleaner, but that is NASTY stuff.

True. I actually have some Artic Clean.. the thermalpaste remover. It works great on a CPU top... or a fan. But not on clothes... frown.gif

I've been using Dow Corning DC111 vacuum grease as thermal compound for years. It is pretty much the same base but clear instead of white. Almost all thermal grease company buy a base then add their own secret sauce. It doesn't leave a white stain.

Arctic Silver is just like the name implies - silver. You should be using it sparingly anyway. If you're ham fisted enough to get it on your clothes then perhaps you should be wearing old clothes when using it.

lol.

No I did not even use any. I just had a tube in my pc toolbox (Yes I have a tool box of all PC related stuff)

I grabbed it and I guess the cap came off or something

I was not paying attention. I felt something on my finger so I wiped on my pant leg because I was installing a hard drive.

Then I realized after it was artic silver... and how hard to clean.

I must say the thermal past remover is very good though. It's awesome stuff
