This is a small problem that I easily deal with, but with my wife 'barely' on board with the whole 'HTPC thing' I need to make its operation as smooth as possible. Whit that being said, here's my issue.

I have my HTPC running through my Sony AVR via HDMI. When I swith to a different input, whether cable TV or Xbox, etc., and come back to the HTPC input some time later, any open windows on the desktop, whether it be XBMC or IE, or just a file explorer window is at a different resolution than the desktop. Most of the time the window is much smaller than the desktop, sometime's it's bigger. It's behaving as if the screen resolution has changed, but yet the desktop displays correctly.

To fix this I have to shut down XBMC and restart it, and for my wife that's just too much, since running the mouse controls from my Harmony remote is a little bit of a hassle.

I have all power saving options on the PC off, no screen save set. Anyone have any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
